Fire Hydrant Systems by Perfect HVAC Solutions
Fire hydrant systems are the primary fire fighting infrastructure for commercial high-rises, factories, warehouses, and large facilities. Perfect HVAC Solutions designs, supplies, and installs complete fire hydrant systems per NBC 2016 and applicable Indian standards across India.
Complete Fire Hydrant System Components
- Wet riser piping (typically 150mm internal diameter, MS Class C)
- Hydrant valves at every floor (single or double headed)
- Hose reel cabinets with first-aid hose, branch pipe, axe
- Fire pumps - jockey, main electrical, and diesel engine standby
- Sectional valves and pressure-reducing valves
- Underground/overhead static water tank (minimum 2-hour storage)
- External hydrants in factory yards and large premises
- Pressure switches, control panels, automation logic
Engineering Standards We Follow
Our fire hydrant systems are designed per NBC 2016 (National Building Code), IS 9668 (Indian Standard for selection of fire fighting installations), IS 3844 (hydrant valve specifications), IS 12469 (pumps for fire fighting), NFPA 14 (international hydrant standpipe system standards), and applicable state fire department guidelines.
Capacity Calculation
System capacity is calculated based on building occupancy class, floor area, building height, and applicable fire load. For commercial high-rises, typical design includes 2-hour fire pump operation at full demand. For industrial occupancies, larger water reserves and external yard hydrants are added.
Brand Partnerships
We supply hydrant components from trusted brands - Newage, Kentech, Padmini for hydrant valves and equipment, Kirloskar/CRI/Mather Platt/SPP for fire pumps, Tyco for control valves, and Indian manufacturers for hose reel cabinets and accessories. All equipment is BIS certified.
Installation and Commissioning
Complete installation includes piping fabrication and erection, hydrant valve installation at proper heights (typically 1.0 meter above floor), hose reel cabinet mounting, fire pump installation in pump room with vibration isolators and proper foundations, electrical panel work, control wiring, hydrostatic testing of pipes at 1.5x operating pressure, pump performance testing per IS 12469, and final commissioning with fire department witness.
Annual Testing and Certification
Fire hydrant systems require annual testing per fire department regulations. Our service includes pressure testing of pipes, pump performance testing (flow, pressure), valve operation testing, control panel functional checks, and complete documentation for fire department audits and insurance compliance.
